Q&A
The lovely Tatiana has tagged me with some questions,
a kind of get to know you better Q&A.
So fun!
1. If you could eat anywhere in the world, where and what would it be?
My favorite place in the whole world is La Hacienda The Ranch!
A mexican food restaurant in Dallas, Texas.
We eat there ever time we go to Dallas. Just talking
about it makes me hungry. =)
2. What is your favorite childhood memory?
Visits from my Grandma. My grandma lived 5 hours away and she and my grandpa would visit pretty often. When she wasn't here we were pen pals. And we still write back and forth to this day.
3. What is your idea of an ideal date?
I'm pretty easy to please and love to eat outdoors. And after visiting Oasis this summer,
I would love to sit out looking over Lake Travis having dinner with my honey!
{Just look at that view.}
4. Who has been your biggest inspiration?
My husband, without a doubt. He has always been there for me. Always building me up , he is my biggest fan. Watching him work hard to better himself, always with a positive attitude. Definitely someone to model.
5. What would you say is your biggest accomplishment?
My babies!
6. Are you a diamonds or pearls kind of girl?
I always have been a diamonds kind of girl, but have some pearl earrings I love!
7.Would you rather read the book or watch the movie?
I have trouble sitting still long enough to watch a movie. I'm kind of ADD. I do like to read though.
8. If you had enough money, what store would we find in your walk in closet?
Probably Ann Taylor Loft or J.Crew.
I would love to hear your answers to some of these questions.

Happy Anniversary...
*Warning Mushy Post*
If you do not like Mushy posts feel free to
skip this one. =)
Over the weekend Josh and I celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary! I am so blessed to be married to my very best friend. I have known Josh my whole life. We started dating when I was 14, he was 15! Sounds like forever ago, yet all of those memories seem like yesterday! High School sweethearts we were, getting married after his 2nd year in college. (19 and 20 yrs old)
I love that we still dream together, laugh together, and want to always help each other to grow.
Saturday morning, I woke up to the best gift I could have ever gotten and I had to share it with you.
I may just frame it!
Let me give you just a little preface.
Josh has roughly 5,000 friends on Facebook. Lot's to do with his line of work, yet he posted this:
"Today is our 11 yr anniversary- 11 things I love about Jesse Peak"
1. I love the way she walks, with a sort of catwalk style confidence.
2. I love her entrepreneurial spirit.
3. I love her creative style.
2. I love her entrepreneurial spirit.
3. I love her creative style.
4. I love her beautiful feet.
5. I love watching her play on her computer, while drinking her tea from McAlisters.
6. I love the way she loves people
7. I love her handwriting.
8. I love that she is competitive, and that she has no idea how sexy it is.
9. I love how supportive she has been, in my entrepreneur journey, my high school and college wrestling days and allowing me to find my way in life. She's been my rock. She's been so faithful. I love that!
10. I love how great of a mother she is to our beautiful children, and how she teaches them the importance of faith!
11. Most importantly, I love her faith in God.
I have to say I cry every time I read this! I mean what more could a girl ask from her husband, than to have him tell her all the reason he loves her!
(Josh's first year of college, I had one more year in H.S.)
(1999 our wedding day)
(3 kids later!)
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a great start to your week!

Last Minute Decision...
This past weekend my hubby and I were scheduled to have a date. My in-laws were watching the kids, so at the last minute we decided to take a drive to Austin (Tx). Just what my soul needed.
The views were to die for!
Last year while flipping through a Souther Living Mag I came across this photo. They described this place of looking like somewhere in the South of France, touting it's beautiful blue/green water and blanket of umbrellas. And it was in none other than Austin. I had all but forgotten about the photo when we decided to make the trip. Until we happened onto "The Oasis".
Remember my photography class. It's funny when I landed in such a beautiful place, how all of the rules I learned about telling a story and getting better angles went right out of the window. I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of our surroundings.
This was one of the views from our table, yes the water is that blue!
That's my hubby in the pink, and our table with an incredible view.
As soon as we decided to make the trip the first thing I thought of was this...
While it wasn't better than sitting by the lake basking the gorgeous views it was pretty darn good.
YUM!
What a refreshing trip!
Hope you each had a restful weekend too.

Garage Sale Finds...
Well of all the homes I stopped at this weekend, my hunt was fruitless. There were lots of great coffee tables, but I don't need one of those. Remember, I just cut my entry table down. Although while out in Jenks I hit up an antique store that I have been wanting to visit for sometime. Can I just tell you how tempted I was by so many great pieces. For now all I came home with was a gorgeous piece of milk glass and darn the luck I haven't taken a photo of it yet. Sorry about that. I'll try to get that done to show you. So pretty! The store said I could come back and photograph some things to show you. So be looking for that in the next week.
On a totally different note, I changed out my black and white prints in the dining room. To add, you guessed it, pink! So cheery! I am loving it!
Oh and one more thing!
We are going to be having a giveaway soon. From a super talented friend of mine at Swell Mail Designs! I love me some pretty paper!
So be on the look out for that as well!

What I'm Reading...
I'm a bit sad to say that other than blogs and magazines I haven't read a good book in a few months.
Then I heard about this book. I love a good book about Parenting or being a better wife. I think it's important to be aware of and nurturing the most important relationships in our lives. And it's easy to get caught up in the day to day and neglect each other.
I'll try to give a little review when I am finished.
And later this week...
A recipe, that is to die for!
I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your week.

A Surprise...
You all know I got a new camera for Mother's Day! Well, you won't believe what happened to me.
First a little background info.
I don't know how many of you read Under the Sycamore, but a few years ago I met Ashley when she was in the full throws of her photography business and I was doing hair. We both worked the same wedding. Not too long after that she did some family photos for us, I have been a follower of her blog ever since. Admiring her photography talent. =) Last Wednesday I was patiently awaiting the arrival of my camera when I received the blast email from Ashley saying that she had an opening come available in her Saturday Snap Shop class! What an opportunity! I had been wanting to attend since the first class she had! I jumped at the chance to get to learn how to better use my new camera!
What a blessing!
I thought I would share a few photos from the class and then a few I have taken since Saturday.
If your not familiar with the class, Ashley teaches you to use your camera in manual and then you get a chance to use what you have learned in a photo shoot.
Onto the photos...
Could we have asked for a cuter subject to shoot?! I think not!
Ashley beautiful daughter!
The outdoor session...
And then a few I have taken since the class...
First we found a wild strawberry patch,
Then we cooked them up in the kitchen!
Jude and his bike helmet.
And our just for fun photo shoot =)
The plan is to keep practicing!

Dream Home...
Have you visited Houzz lately?
I never tire of some good eye candy. And dream of putting together our forever home. It's funny to me that growing up I didn't appreciate the 100 acres I lived on. Always lots of work to do. And while I don't have any desire to own any cattle I would love to have a few acres. To have that space for the kids to run makes my heart skip a beat. After all I am just a country girl at heart. However, I would say my style is far from rustic or country. =)
What is your dream home?
Here are some of thing photos inspiring me lately...
