Presto Change-O...

So I found this mirror... and I loved the size, shape and the design. But the color just made this great mirror rather drab. So here it is before. I had already taped it off for paint.

A little closer up so you can see the detail.
A can of white Rust-oleum gloss spray paint and you have a whole new mirror.
Isn't it nice to be able to so easily transform a great piece.

I Just Love A Little Nookie...

Especially one that looks like this. What a cozy corner to have breakfast and catch up on all the blogs I love to read. I love the wall color, the chairs and pillows. The bench seat has storage underneath, paired with that fabulous table. The icing on top is the fun way the home owner displays their photos.

Good Times...

This was the kids first time on a boat and on the lake for that matter. When I told them we were going they were so excited. So was I! I was so proud of them. The plan was only to stay about 2 hours. I didn't think they would last longer than that. We were there from about 10:00 in the morning til about 7:00. They swam and tubed until they were just exhausted. Jude and Blair even took a quick little nap. About five minutes.

Rhett just looked around in amazement.

They all took turns helping my friend Kim drive. Thanks Kim!

Josh and Rhett went tubing. Rhett thought that was so cool!
He said "this is the best time ever mom"!
Rhett (not pictured) and Blair were little fish. All over the place. Jude was our neck warmer most of the day. He held on for dear life. But by the end of the day he didn't want us touching him. He was going to do it himself.
We even got to take a turn together. So much fun. I had actually never been tubing. I know I live a sheltered life. I got so tickled at Josh once because we just about lost him. I told him to try not holding on and just as he took his hands off we hit a wave that bounced him around like he was on a trampoline. Hilarious!
Thank you so much Kim for having us. You and the girls are the best! We had a wonderful time!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!

Lovely Spaces...

I total adore this blue door and all the light that must flood in the space.

 Wonderful Wallpaper
Fabulous mirror.
Everything about this space calls my name. Love the pop of color with the chair.
Such a unique bathroom with a vibe all it's own.

Baby Baby...

Aren't these the sweetest things ever. They are a baby rattle.
Just precious!

Perfect Summer Party Accessory...

Ever since I saw this photo I have been adoring these beautiful beverage dispensers.
And then I came across this...

An Apothecary Beverage Dispenser via ZGallery. Don't I wish I had one closer than 4 hours away.

Dreams Come True Girl...

I am oh so patiently waiting for this song to be released to the U.S.

Just Curious...

This modern hotel in Frisco Texas has caught my attention. Being on of my favorite getaways (Frisco), I am thinking my hubby and I may have to visit this hotel when traveling for an upcoming trip. What do you think... to modern?

Of course it comes with king size beds also.

In The Works...

I finally took the time to fill these frames with some pretty paper I picked up at a craft store. The frames were a cherry color. I spray painted them black to go with the rest of the frames around the living room.

This area I am still working on. I am enjoying the random gallery effect. The plan is to fill in some of the open areas with our anniversary pictures we had taken.
A pretty pop of color in my dining room. Makes me happy. Did I mention I love this vase. Pretty even without flowers.
And a  surprise left on my couch. Blair's chalk hand print. Thank goodness it was just chalk and brushed right off. Whew.

Happy Father's Day...

Because I know my hubs doesn't check my blog very often I thought I might share one of his gifts. I gathered the kids on the porch for a "We love our dad" picture. Thought that might be a fun personal gift, along with a few other small things.

I hope you all have a nice weekend and a wonderful Father's Day. And just in case you do see this Josh. Your are the best daddy and we love you so much!
Happy Father's Day!

Because Sometimes I Forget...

Because sometimes I forget how fab Pottery Barn Teen can be. Correction... is! Look at these lovely little finds. Aren't these nesting tables perfect?

Fun...
I love these stools. Now if I only had a vanity area to go with!
And of course I had to skip on over to Pottery Barn the original. I am seriously diggn' this whole space, but especially this little bench coffee table. And it comes in blue. =)
What can I say about this settee but SWOON!
Okay, saved the very best for last. I adore these curtains. Just might have to order these. Don't know that I can live without them.

Nursery Cuteness...

With some friends pregnant I have had nursery on the brain. Ashley has a super cute nursery in the works and my friend Chris is getting her ideas together. So with these two as an excuse to look at cute rooms I just indulged myself. I just love this room and everything about it.
Just look at the wall treatment.

That little ghost chair... hehe.
And the art on the walls, precious.

A closer look at the art.
And the cherry on top! What a sweetie!

File It Away...

This gorgeous kitchen is definitely going in the "build our dream home" file. I love everything about it. So inviting you would never want to leave.

I love this little niche... and the pops of blue. =)

Go On, Make My Day...

Just a few day brightening photos! Puts me in a happy place.

Drawing Inspiration...

I know I have posted this photo before, but this weekend I thought I might go out and look for a table for our entry way. I came across a one very similar to this. I didn't buy it... yet. I thought I might think on it first and make sure that it was for sure something I wanted. Although it was a killer price and even if I changed my mind down the road I wouldn't feel guilty. Listen to me talking myself into it even more. Only problem is my tv cabinet is slightly more modern and I don't have plans on getting a new one any time soon. Other priorities.

This picture has got my creative juices flowing. I love the thought of a large canvas like this with something personal to our family written on it. We'll see what I come up with.
