Inspiration...

A few new really lovely pics I found about randomly. I have had some master bedroom color schemes swimming in my head, just haven't gotten it all worked out yet. I would love to give that room a bit of a tweak, or a whole makeover wouldn't be bad either. Until then here is some eye candy.

Dining Room Before...

I thought it was about time for a little dining room before picture. When we bought the house this is what our nasty little dining room looked like. Soon and very soon I will unveil the dining room redo. I am still waiting on our light fixture from cb2.com. The picture is a bit dark, because at this time we still had no electricity running in the house. I am also eyeing a new table at Ikea. Now to leave you in just a bit of suspense!

A Proud Moment...

Just the other day I got the picture of Jude eating a raw tomato. Doesn't seem like a big deal, right? Well if you knew that Jude would not even touch vegetable baby food, besides sweet potatoes, the you would know this is a huge deal. YAY, my picky little eater is taking a step out!

A Little Nookie...

No not that kind of nookie, get your minds out of the gutter. I have been staring down this hallway for 3 years trying to figure out what I wanted to do with that space. There was enough room to do something, but a small scale something. So after I bought one of these shelves for my living room it dawned on me that I could create a nook like the ones I love in all of these old midtown homes. So here it is. I absolutely love the results!

A Trip Down Memory Lane...

I can't believe my twin babies are 2 and Rhett will be turning 4 in a few short months! I thought this occasion deserved a little remember when.

The first few are us in the hospital, Jude was first and whisked away to the NICU. He weighed 5.13. That is him under the oxygen hood.

Josh as The proud papa holding Blair. We could not have Jude in our room our entire stay in the hospital. We couldn't even take photos for the first day or two. So the 2nd shot is of Jude about 2 days old, still in the NICU, and his feeding schedule. Which was quiet slow going at first.

For the first 5 months of life Jude and Blair shared a crib. The 2nd picture is of their first day home.

Rhett what an awesome big brother. I couldn't have asked for more from a 20 month old little boy. He has loved his little brother and sister so much. I will never forget the day bringing Jude home. We had came home with Blair first and had to leave Jude in the hospital one extra day. So the next morning when Rhett awoke to another baby in the living room with mommy, he just looked at one baby, then the other and back to the other again. It was priceless. Here he is kissing his sister and holding his brother Jude.

There was always a crying baby. If you couldn't tell.

Playing together!

Both the twins used to run those walkers all over the drive!

When the twins were almost a year old Rhett was in Josh's brothers wedding. He did such a great job. Looking quiet handsome, too!

Crawling!

This is what our backseat looks like, incase your wondering.

Makes me weepy to see him look that grown up! He is quiet the mature 3 year old. What a great big brother he has made so far. God knew he was the right man for the job! Hope you have enjoyed our trip down memory lane as much as I have. Much love!

Funky..

Well I must admit I have been in a funk. I have let the challenges of parenting 3 children 3 and under overwhelm me. I have not been relying on God. Shame on me. It was all put in perspective as I watch a very dear friend going through some hard financial times with such a calm only his faith in Christ could give him. Although his struggles are not easy he has such a peace. He went on to tell Josh how blessed he was to have a strong marriage and healthy children. And you know, it does not get better than that. Truly. What an inspiration he and his family are to our family. You know who you are and we love you guys!

What is my take from it all. Only Christ, only he can give you the strength to come through all things. He called on Josh and I to help sculpt the lives of three beautiful babies. What an awesome thing. Something he and I both take great pride in. Perfectionists we are.

So what next, pull up the boot straps, give all things up to God, and keep fighting the good fight. Keep sewing increase into my children and my husband, because he has a divine plan for all of us.

Project...

I have recently been working on a project that I think turned out really great. I have been bringing my camera with us on all of our outings, getting pictures of the various signs I found appealing. I then cropped them, using some computer software to spell out, in this case our last name. I am going to put it on a shelf project I am working on in the living room. Once I pick out the arrangement for all of our pictures and get frames and things hung I will post that. In the meantime here is the urban sign design.

For Jenn...

Okay Jenn, here is a little something I put together for you. I kind of went for the brown and red theme. Hope you like! Love ya!

I really think a medium milk chocolate like www.sherwin-williams.com toasty #6095 would be a great wall color. It would allow all of your pieces to pop off the walls. I started with an office desk that you can combine to create the best fit for Travis. It comes from www.potterybarn . It is a modular system, so you can do what ever you like!Next is an open bookcase that will keep everything open and airy feeling. Found at http://www.crateandbarrel.com/
I loved these chairs because they were masculine and yet so chic! http://www.homedecorators.com/The rug I found online at http://www.target.com/ ties in all of your colors! These curtains also from http://www.potterybarn.com/ will look great against your wall color and really tie in the rest of the dark furniture.I found all of these great art pieces from http://www.target.com/ except for the red circular piece which came from http://www.homedecorators.com/ I especially love the wall art, neat huh?I hope this helps give you some ideas. Let me know if you need anything else at all!

Found...

FOUND some really cool shelves at Lowe's for our living room. So I am working on an arrangement for the pics and stuff we will be putting on them. Some of the things will include the pics we just had taken (www.ashleyannphotography.com/blog). She did a fabulous job! I am also working on this neat little idea with our last name. A decorative kind of thing I'll unveil soon! That's it for now, much love!

Kitchen Inspiration...

I forgot when I posted my remodel pics to show what inspired my color scheme. A pic thanks to Freckles Chic, and www.pointclickhome.com I translated this home office into my kitchen makeover. Greyish walls, my cabinets are white, hence the white chair. Black and white curtains. Mine have a damask pattern. I am also incorporating a little bit of blue as an added accent here and there, like the blue pillow in the chair. The black desk represents my counter tops. So that is how I did it! Found what inspired me and turned it into a room I love.
