Stylish Friend...

I am blessed to have a great friend with a great eye for decorating and anything crafty! We have been putting our heads together to tweek her living and dining rooms. She just got these super cute curtains from Ikea. Black and white with a little red/orange detail on them. So when she decided to add the red branches to the center of her table, they were just PERFECT! I am totally jealous, I have been wanting to do this in my living room for a while. But I can see it now, the kids would totally be using those gorgeous branches as pirate swords!  See those pillows by the window. Created by Mrs. Talented herself! Her style tends to be kichy and eclectic. Not to matchy, matchy. I love it! So when we get the rest of the living room together, I'll be back to share it with you! Looks great Chris, fabulous job!

Etsy And Envy...

Yesterday my Aunt and I were talking about home offices in the closet. That left me with such closet envy. I don't have an extra closet. I love the idea of this though. To be able to close the doors on it and it not take up any space in the room! So here are a few beautiful pics of some well organized offices!

This one isn't in a closet, but I loved the look of it!
I haven't done an Etsy post in a while. I found some super cute spring things. Like this gorgeous dress!
I love this top, and this shop has some very interesting things!
Last but not least I am a sucker for scarves! This one is so pretty! Not a spring thing, but that's okay!

Park Day And The Squirrel Whisperer...

A week or so ago we had an absolutely beautiful Saturday! The weather was just perfect. Josh took the day off and we spent the whole day outside. It was glorious, we started at the River Parks, which is a favorite of ours. Next we went and had lunch at a outdoor mexican food restaurants and then went on to Woodward park. The kids love it because of the open spaces and the small ponds. On this particular occasion we remembered to bring something for the squirrels. Rhett was so excited, he has been wanting to feed them for a while. I think he could have sat there with his daddy for hours.

Jude who is always doing his own little thing, found a stick!

Rhett cheesing if for me.
While Blair did not have any food, I swear that all of those squirrels just loved her. She was so gentle and slow. We actually had a little crowd as she got closer and closer to the squirrel. We dubbed her the squirrel whisperer. There are two squirrels in this first picture.

Such a fun day. I feel so blessed!

Fine Dining...

I am so pining for a larger dining table. The twins are so ready to be out of their highchairs. Which really puts the squeeze on everyones elbow room. I purchased the table we have now before we had Rhett and quickly realized that it wasn't going to be large enough for our growing family. I really need to put it on craigslist. Such indecision, I really think I would like to have a black table with white chairs, but then question if I should go for a mahogany table and a bit more traditional. Decisions, decisions! For now here are some beautiful rooms.

All of these photos were found here.

Questions...

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day!  Ours was little get away as a family. Which reminds me of another question I received during the giveaway. How did you come up with the names for your children? We were married 5 years before we had Rhett, and when we found out we were pregnant with him we were so excited! Then the quest for the perfect name. I always wanted something different but not strange. I love all the old names coming back! If it was a girl it was going to be Ava. I was having the hardest time with a boy name. Seems so many boy names the girls are using, and I wanted something masculine. One weekend we had went out for a drive and were driving down an area of Tulsa that we frequent when I saw a salon with Rhett in the title (fitting isn't it) that I had seen a million times when it dawned on me Rhett, oh I like that! So it stuck Rhett Morgan it is.

When less than two years later we found out we were pregnant again with twins, we were excited and a bit overwhelmed and now had to come up with not one but two names. So initially we were thinking we would stick to an all R theme. What we came up with were Reid and Rorian, (Rori). But I was having that feeling that something was just not right. I had always loved the name Jude. It was on that list you make of baby names you think are cute that one of these days you might use. So was Blair. I knew I wanted to use Jude and am so glad I did. Jude is such a Jude. I cannot seem him as anything else. Little Jude London!
Blair was a different story, we kind of went back and forth between Blair,Claire and Stella. So in the end we settled on Blair Olivia! What a tough little cookie! She lives in a house with two brothers. I am into what the meaning of names are. So that went into our baby naming decisions. Thanks Freckles Chick for the question. It has been fun to think back about naming my sweeties.

SSSHHH It's A Secret...

Remember this lil sitting area in the master bedroom?

I thought I might let you in on a small space secret going on in our house. Since we purchased this 3 bedroom home not expecting to have twins we had to get a little creative as to how we would sleep everyone. And using one of the bedrooms as a home office for my husbands biz, that leaves us with two bedrooms. So when thinking of where we would put Rhett, the only logical place was in our bedroom. But I did not want a toddler bed stuffed in the corner of our bedroom.  I am anal when it comes to things being just so. So when I started looking for other options  for his bed I came across this sleeper loveseat. So at night we fold this out and it's his bed, in day time it's folded up and the room looks put together. With no one being the wiser.

Small space big style! That's what I'm after!

Questions...

I thought today I might answer one of the question I got from the giveaway. Thanks Shannon! And given we will be celebrating our TEN year anniversary this  year it is a fitting question. "How did you and Josh meet"? I have known Josh my whole life. We went to the same day care, (I have a pic of us together back then around here some where) at one time road the same bus to school. My sister who could...I mean can... throw a mean football used to hang out with him and play football! So I guess it was only fitting when in 9th grade we started dating. He was 15 and I was 14! Crazy stuff! We dated through High School and Josh went to two years of college and me through Cosmetology school! We then got married July 24th, 1999!  I was 19, gosh that seems young now! The pic below is one of us while Josh was attending his first year on wrestling scholarship.

Here we are almost 10 years and 3 kids later,
I swear I have changed my hair since then!!

And The Winner Is...

First let me say Thank You to all who entered, I truly do appreciate your comments and your reading. It lifts my day to come home and read the comments you have left! To have that little bit of adult time!

Sorry to make you wait all day for this, I have not had access to my computer til this evening. So here is the play by play. I laid out the contestants on individual strips while the kids anxiously watched.
They each then gave the tea pot a good shake!
Since they were helping we used Blair's giant tea pot as our ticket holder. Don't mind the toy littered living room. Do you like the curtains? Can't keep Blair out of those!! Rhett, drew the name and held it up for all to see. And the winner is...

Congrats girl! Enjoy some cute hair while sippin' some Starbucks!! And since you live around here we will get together to get the goods!
Thank you for the questions too, I will be answering them this week in a few posts!

Inspiration Anticipation...

I found so many swoon worthy inspiration pics over at Decor Pad today! You can never have to many beautiful pictures to inspire you! I love everything about this photo. The print on the chairs, that gorgeous table even the wall color and blue print! Yum!

I have long since adored the shape of these chairs. Maybe when the kids are grown I'll invest in those! Ha!
You just have to have a shot of zebra!
Stunning, not much more to say than that!
There's that peep of zebra again. I so thought about adding in a little shot of yellow with my grey and slate blue bedroom. This is making me have the urge for a yellow throw or adding a lil throw pillow! We'll see!
Do you have a fave?
