Pregnant?

Monday is the day friends! I will reveal my secret. So I hope you will join me then!
I have a fun surprise in store for you!

I have a few projects I hope to finish this weekend. I am taking Karen's advice and covering
my stool with some faux fur. I think it will be a nice touch with my new vanity. I'll share pics
for sure. =)

Oh one more thing, I thought I might give you a heads up. I am not pregnant. LOL
You guys are so funny! At least I know I have lots of support from my sweet bloggie friends!
We are finished with the baby making. ;) After the twins we did consider having one more. But
our family doesn't work that way. We don't get singles. My grandmothers sister had 2 sets of twins
and I wasn't really willing to take that chance. That would be 5 kids, whew! I am happy with the
sweeties I have.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! And will join me Monday for my surprise, or maybe
surprises! =)

HUGS!

Lovely Images

Thank You all so much for your sweet comments for Josh! He had a fun day!
We treated him to some of his favorite things, jelly bellies and
Chinese food. You guys are all so great!

How divine is this bathroom? I would love a long hot soak in that tub.

I'm feeling the need to be carefree and throw caution to the wind. Maybe
it's the fall weather. Or maybe I need a vacation, hehe. I think it's because
I'm a pretty"do the right thing" kind of person. Always thinking about how
my decisions will impact my children or make someone else feel. When I
say throw caution to the wind, I think my version of that is pretty tame. So today
I'll settle for some pretty photos. That and a tea and I'm one happy lady. Hope
you are all having a happy week.

Fair Fun

The Fair is in town. The last time I went at the fair, was when I was pregnant with
Rhett. And I really went to satisfy my pregnancy cravings. Now that the twins are old enough
to enjoy most of the rides, we thought it was time to go. Blair was barely tall enough to ride.
They had such a big time!

Blair is my dare devil! She would squeal and laugh so big.
I don't think she is scared of a thing. Which is what I love about
her and what drives me crazy too. Especially when her free
spirited self just about got hit by a car as she wasn't paying attention
walking back to our car. Gave us all a heart attack.

One of our last rides was the Ferris Wheel. I suggested it, thinking it was the kiddie one. It won't be as high.

MMMHHH, What was I thinking? I sat very still. =)
Here was the view...

Looking at those smiles make it all worth it!
What's up for this weekend? I am thinking it's time for pumpkins. I try my best to wait a little
before putting them out. Because I like leaving them out until Thanksgiving. I don't do Halloween
decorations, I do fall deco.

Have a great day friends!

Spelling Bee

My girl. It's funny how different boys and girls are. Blair is so excited to do school work every day. She sits and traces letters, making them perfectly. Staying on the lines and then practicing them herself. Without me even having to ask her to. The boys, while they don't dislike school, they definitely don't do any more than I ask them to.

I was so proud of Blair, we had ran some errands and I had the kids all with me. So I put on one of those Leap Frog videos for the kids to watch in the car. Well one of the main characters is Tad. When we got home Blair got out her paper and crayons and went to town drawing on the coffee table. Then wanted me to come have a look.

I was so surprised and proud. She had sat and sounded out the words, Tad and cat. All by herself! I was shocked, not to doubt her smartness. LOL! But wow, who knew, right? So of course I said, let me take your picture! Great job and a high five! Hope she always has this want to learn. It is so much fun to watch.

Have any of you noticed that with your kids? How different girls and boys are about things like this.
Do you think it has anything to do with birth order?

Hodge Podge

Are you having a good week so far? My kids have coughs, I hate that.
We started school this year a couple of weeks early with
the intention of taking the last part of this week off.
So, I am getting together our plans, and so far I know for sure
we are going to go to the movies to see that new Alpha and Omega
movie. It looks pretty cute. Maybe a zoo visit and a picnic.
I'm a no plans are the best plans kind of girl.

Well this past Saturday was Rhett's first "flag" football game. We were
all excited! He had on his jersey for the first time and I think
probably had no idea what to really expect.
That's him in the grey shorts below.

  Getting stretched out.
We brought our personal cheerleader. ;)
With their flags on the game started. And after our team was shoved from behind,
pulled down by their jersey's and getting told "I'm gonna get you", I realized
the other team wasn't told this was "flag" football.
That had to be it, right? They are 5 year olds.
I didn't remember the 2 teams we sat and watched before our
game started acting like this. hmmm
It was an interesting start to football. You know I wouldn't have thought
a whole lot about him being tackled and talked a little smack to, if
he was older, and he had on pads. Any hoo, what an introduction.
Can I tell you it took me a while to cool down
after that, and it wasn't because it was a hot day.
;)

Well in other news I thought I would share the before shots of my furniture that is
in the midst of made-over. Both pieces were in such good shape I almost felt bad for painting them...
almost.

This piece I found at the salvation army (71st & Garnett, for you locals).

And this is a computer armoire that I have had about 7 years. Really it was in pretty
great shape except a few scuffs here and there. But I was ready for
a different look for the piece. I have had so much dark furniture for so
long and am ready to change it up a bit.

I hope to post the finished products later this week.

Have a wonderful day!

Goodbye Summer...

I will miss you. The 100+ temps have not been pleasant,
but there is a certain carefreeness that comes with
summertime. And we have had a fun one.

My babies are growing up way,
way to fast. I kind of want to just stop
them right here. And say that's enough
growing!

I am looking forward to fall.
I can feel it coming. There is just
something in the air.

This is my ode to summer.
Memories I will cherish forever.

This summer I learned to use my camera in manual mode.

and my oldest boy, Rhett has had so many milestones.
He learned to ride his bike without training wheel,
swim without floaties,
read,
and now he is signed up for flag football.
It's enough to make my heart burst!
I am so proud of him words can't express.
What a summer!
=)

Our Day at the Park...

I have been wanting to take the twins out to try my hand at some 4 year old photos!
After finally getting a little break from our super hot temps we ventured out.
We started out the day with nice overcast sky, perfect for taking photos.
But wouldn't you know it by the time we got to the park the sun was in full swing.
Oh well, we found some shade.
=)

This really was one of my favorite shots of them for the day.
Something about it reminds me of back in the day.
Like they are adults in kid bodies.
Holding hands, she follows him while on a little stroll.
lol!
I think it would be fun and even more vintage looking in black and white.
Fun!
You know I couldn't leave my big boy out, right?!
My heart is full!
Btw, just a little update on Rhett's infection. The sore under his arm is almost completely gone.
Feeling so blessed that we caught that early.
