My girl. It's funny how different boys and girls are. Blair is so excited to do school work every day. She sits and traces letters, making them perfectly. Staying on the lines and then practicing them herself. Without me even having to ask her to. The boys, while they don't dislike school, they definitely don't do any more than I ask them to.
I was so proud of Blair, we had ran some errands and I had the kids all with me. So I put on one of those Leap Frog videos for the kids to watch in the car. Well one of the main characters is Tad. When we got home Blair got out her paper and crayons and went to town drawing on the coffee table. Then wanted me to come have a look.
I was so surprised and proud. She had sat and sounded out the words, Tad and cat. All by herself! I was shocked, not to doubt her smartness. LOL! But wow, who knew, right? So of course I said, let me take your picture! Great job and a high five! Hope she always has this want to learn. It is so much fun to watch.
Have any of you noticed that with your kids? How different girls and boys are about things like this.
Do you think it has anything to do with birth order?

Now that is a masterpiece worth framing.
Blair is so adorable! I have 2 boys and the youngest hasn't brought anything home this year lower than a 96% - actually just one 96 and the rest are 100% and above. My oldest always fought school but strangely enough he is into it this year. He is 13. I'll be very interested to see his report card.
Aww!! GO Blair! I would be so excited! I'm still trying to get my 18 month old to talk!! Ha!
I see the difference! My girls were/are more creative at a young age. My boys they could care less!
i felt so proud the other day when my 4 yeard old boy spelled his name just like that, without guidance or anything. Kids are adorable :) I don't have a girl to compare but I sure have seen the differences!
I only have one girl, so I have nothing to compare her too :) I can imagine though! How cute!
that is darling! my kiddos love the leapfrog dvd's as well. I definitely can tell a difference in the Caleb and Zoee--night and day!
Aww! Way to go Blair!
