Anthropologie

Anthropologie opens it's Tulsa store this Friday in Utica Square!
We are super excited. So in honor of the grand opening
I have picked a few of my favorite things. And since
I have been working on my new vanity table and
the old cabinet, it was only right to looks at new pulls.
Aren't these lovely!?

This apron reminds me of my NC friend.
She's a great cook and looks fab while doing it.
 Measuring cups!
So cute!
I love these, they are salt & pepper shakers.
Aren't they sweet?
I really can't seem to get enough of this color.
Last season, my favorite pair of shoes were
this same color.
Swooning over this coat.

Hope you guys are having a fabulous Monday!
I am almost finished with my furniture pieces and
hope to show them to you later this week. Also I will
give you an update on how our flag football game went.
It was an experience. ;)

Tile Tattoo?...

Are these not the coolest things?! Who knew you could make over your bland tile with a little
tattoo action! They say they stand up to the wettest of areas and there is no sticky residue when you remove them. I am in love with this!

Office Accents

I have been trying to tidy up Josh's office lately. I have painted the wall and hung new curtains. We even tried to rearrange a bit, to make if flow a bit better.

It was time to do something with the walls. The poor guy has papers and business cards everywhere. So I thought maybe a corkboard would help him to get organized. Also it would fill in the blank walls.

I started out with a large frame (24x36) and spray painted it.
Sorry no pic for that step.
Next I purchased some rolls of cork.
I rolled it out and cut it to fit slightly inside the backing of the frame.

I used two layers of cork.
The stuff was kind of thin so I thought I better double up.
Next I used some spray adhesive and attached the two layers of cork and then the cork to the backing.
I put some magazines on one end while I worked my way to the other so it didn't roll back up on me.
Place cork in frame.
To add some interest I decided to add a ribbon around the edge. Since it was going in the "man" office I wanted a more masculine ribbon and thought this one did the trick.
So I measured out each side and cut them off, cutting the corners at an angle to make them crisp.
I used fabric glue and attached the ribbon to the cork.
And here is the finished product in it's final resting place, the office.
It really goes well with the curtains.
Here is a little peek of some the the other art that will be taking up an adjacent wall.
 A vintage Porsch.
Swoon!
There are several that I see frequently around town and a Porsche club that meets at an cafe near us every Saturday. We both have this lovely car on our "some day" list, so it is only fitting to have a little gallery of them hanging in the office.
Here is the photo I took of one of the Porsch clubbers!
Ugh, all I need is a scarf and sunglasses!
Talk about the perfect Sunday drive car. =)

Pop of Color...

I posted recently of my affections for these lamp shades. I took a trip to Target and left empty handed, I had to sleep on it and make sure I REALLY wanted them. You know when you come home and can't stop thinking about something, that was me. Then I came across this photo and it sealed the deal, I was going back to Target first thing in the morning to get those lamp shades.

I am really enjoying the pop of color they added to the soothing color palette in our bedroom.

Have you found anything lately that you just can't stop thinking about?

Swoon...

Yes, I love this room,
 everything about it.
All of the colors are speaking to me.

Have you seen the new Liberty of London line at Target. I am really falling in love with this lamp.
Have a lovely Monday ya'll!

Pillow Heaven...

A good friend of mine sent me a text the other day with a photo of these pillows. I knew right then I had to have them for my living room. I think they make a great addition. And they are double sided with a bird and rosette on the other side. Found at Target!

Much Ado About Nothing...

Why does my kitchen have to go from neat and tidy to this soooo quickly! Ugh, dishes are never ending.  On a side note though I did get a new faucet if you can see past the sink full of dishes! We have had a few new little additions to the house this past week. One was a new ceiling fan/ light fixture in the living room. WOW, does it make a difference! It's like the rooms jewelry.

Are you gearing up for Valentine's Day? Making plans? We haven't done much the last few years. But this year we are going to cook with some friends. Which got me to thinking, should I bring a host gift? If so what should I bring? Any ideas?

I had to show you the birds I found at Michael's over the weekend. I thought they were sweet. I love the detail.

Accessory Envy...

I am always amazed by how creative people are, so when I came across these great curtains I had to share them with you. Ashley is super creative and always post different amazing creations! Visit her site and see the tutorial here.

I am also having pillow envy! What a great mix of patterns that all work so well together. If I could be so brave... I love all of the colors. Might just have to do my best to recreate this look!
{I spy a great lamp too}

Living Room Love and Coffee Table Ambition...

Swooning over these two imagines. I have been considering cutting down the legs of the table from my entryway to make a new coffee table, then I come across almost the exact look. The only difference is my table is a bit longer and skinnier. This is the way my mind works. I am already thinking of where this "coffee table" will be going next. When we move into a larger home I would love to reinvent that table into a bench at the end of our bed. I don't have room for a bench in our current home.

This photo has nothing to do with the one above, I just love it! That fabulous sofa and the rug. I covet the wall color, art, and sweet side table as well.

Re-Purpose...

I love finding new ways to use things we already own. So when I saw this picture of this cake stand repurposed as a fragrance stand I fell in love. What a pretty way to store your smelly goods. Which got me thinking of how much I love the bottles the spices come in. The Target brand (Archers Farm) spices.

Isn't this a pretty little bottle, I am thinking bud vase. Once I get those labels off that is.
Also I was in Target (yeah I know I am there a lot) when I came across the prettiest gift bag. I thought it would go so good in a frame I just spray painted white. Here is the bag when I started.
I was going to tape it to the back of the mat so it wiggle around any. Well wouldn't you know I couldn't find tape any where, but I found a sticker. So this smiling face is on the back of the mat. It works for me.
And here she is. I think it turned out rather nice. Now to decide if I want to put it back in my bedroom or in the living room somewhere.

{Edit: As the day goes on I am loving this so much I may just put one in every room. Ha!}

Project...

I have recently been working on a project that I think turned out really great. I have been bringing my camera with us on all of our outings, getting pictures of the various signs I found appealing. I then cropped them, using some computer software to spell out, in this case our last name. I am going to put it on a shelf project I am working on in the living room. Once I pick out the arrangement for all of our pictures and get frames and things hung I will post that. In the meantime here is the urban sign design.
