Well for the most part the kitchen is finished. So without any more delay here is the somewhat finished product. Just in case you for got here is the
BEFORE~
AFTER~
I covered the open storage shelves with these curtains. It is seems so much less cluttered.
Here is a list of what we did: Painted all of the cabinetry, moved the duct work over head, painted the walls, ripped out the rotted floor and installed a new floor and tile, put in a new stainless steel dishwasher, countertops, backsplash, sink and faucet (although I am going to upgrade our faucet later, the one I have is what you get when your husband and the carpenter go to pick up fixtures).
Left to install: window, light fixtures and a new back door.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the curtains! I'm thinking I want to change my kitchen to black and white now....Great job, Jess! I'm VERY impressed!
Oh my gosh! When you said you were re-doing the kitchen I had no idea what a big project it was. The kitchen looks awesome. How in the world did you do that with three children. Also, the exterior, what a tranformation. Don't you love making your house into a home! I think you've got it down. By the way - love my hair! Thanks for working so hard on it yesterday! Tammy
Beautiful! I echo Tammy's comment...how did you do all that with 3 small kids? Let us know when you start your own HGTV show...
It's gorgeous girlfriend!!!! You should be quite proud of yourself.
Great job sis. It looks great. I wish I had an ounce of you creativity. Sadly, I got none...thats why I will pay you to decorate my house. Love ya!!!
Wow! I love your kitchen...what a lot of work you did. White cabinets look so crisp and clean. Are those wooden letters spelling out E A T? Or is that one of those transfers? And, the outside of your house looks like a different place. You are a really talented lady...good at doing hair, too.
Thanks everyone for the encouraging words! They are much appreciated.
Yvonne the letters are actually metal with the scroll cut outs! I had to have them when I saw them!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! What a transformation. I can't believe it's the same space! Wow, just, WOW.
What a transformation is right! I love it!
What a splendid transformation! The lightness definitely brightens up the room, and what I like the most are the curtains. Did you make it yourself, or just bought the fabric? Anyway, this is the kind of kitchen design is the one that you’ll never got tired of looking even years passed. Good job!
