Cupcake Fun...

A little weekend fun. We baked and decorated cupcakes. As homemade as I got was whipping up the box mix. And let me tell you how good Betty Crocker whipped milk chocolate frosting is. YUM! So I gave each of the kids their own bowl of frosting and and some m&m's and they each went to town. Loving every minute of it.

Jude ate more frosting than he put on his cupcake.

And for today, I am thankful God let me in this wonderful woman's life. My Grandmother. By far the most wonderful woman in my life. She loves my children and they love her. Unfortunately she doesn't live close, so we are anxious to see her over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Can't wait!

Apple Bobbing Punch...

This sounds so yummy!

Ingredients

• 1  (32-ounce) bottle apple cider
• 1  (32-ounce) bottle cranberry juice drink
• 1  (16-ounce) jar whole crabapples, undrained
• 1  (6-ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
• 1  (6-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
• 1  (1-liter) bottle ginger ale or lemon-lime soft drink, chilled

Preparation

Stir together first 5 ingredients. Chill. Stir in ginger ale just before serving. Serve over ice.

Cozy Up...

It has been rainy and/or gray here for sooo long. Too long. The kind of days you just want to have the crock pot on filling the house with yummy smells and curl up with a good book.  Growing up we had a wood burning fireplace. I used to wish I could move my bed right in front and let that warm air blow on me all night long. And with weather like this I wished I still had that fireplace. As for now I will just dream of these cozy looking fireplaces. How has your weather been?

Renovation Inspiration...

A friend of mine emailed saying she is purchasing a home with an Old English style and they will be renovating. Her style is warm southern with a bit of Tuscan twist. The home they will be renovating comes with lots of charm, including wood beams. Gotta love the character of older homes! I hope these will inspire you Cari.  I know I am drooling.

While Hunting The Elevator...

When was the last time you went to Macy's? Do you ever wander around in the furniture section? Everywhere I go I am pushing a double stroller, so I am always on the hunt for the elevators. I know where they are in ever department store. While on a recent trip to the mall and on our trek to find the elevator I found myself in the furniture department in Macy's. So I thought to myself, I'll just take  a peek around while I am back here. I am needing wanting a chair for our living room. Just look what I came across. They really had some nice pieces. I hate to say but most of the furniture store around here don't have a lot of variety, so I was pleasantly surprised. Here are a few fabulous finds.

This past week our world is changing. The shop that I have been working at will be closing and I have had emotional decisions to make. And after 11 years of doing hair will be staying home full time with my children. It is bitter sweet. After making the decision to homeschool, yet still work part time I feel as though this is the Lords way of telling my what my priority should be. My children, and rightfully so. I look forward to this journey with my family. And thank the Lord for showing me the way. I love this photo of Rhett, because it seems to represent the journey we will be traveling together.

Full Of Charm...

I adore everything about this home... Really. The french doors painted black, swoon.

This kitchen... so charming.

Love the subway tiles, the art, the cabinetry, the floor, everything!

BUT, I think my favorite thing of the whole house are these door painted black! I am GIDDY! It give the room a whole other vibe. So striking.

Animal Instincts...

I am craving a touch of zebra. I am thinking a possible zebra ottoman for the living room. However, I am loving all of these fun examples of animal print!
