A friend of mine emailed saying she is purchasing a home with an Old English style and they will be renovating. Her style is warm southern with a bit of Tuscan twist. The home they will be renovating comes with lots of charm, including wood beams. Gotta love the character of older homes! I hope these will inspire you Cari. I know I am drooling.

Ack. There's something in every single picture that jumps out at me. The rustic beams in the first, the pops of green in the last, and every picture in between.
Very nice indeed, and very dignified. You somehow get the impression that all of these lovely rooms are adjuncts to an undepicted library.
I can't name my favorite - but they are all beautiful. Can you imagine having a life with beautiful white wing backs at the kitchen table?
I love this style. The white kitchen with upholstered chairs and black and white valances is one of my all-time faves.
