Kids School Project...

Some of you may know that we home school our children. Today I thought I would share one of the ways we decided to keep track of our sight words. Not to mention make them look a little more fun.
For this project I just used things I already had around the house.

Left over scrapbook paper
white copy paper
tape
hole punch
ribbon

First I cut the scrapbook paper into 4x4 squares...
Because I was out of white card stock, I used white copy paper and printed out a list of the sight words we have been going over so far. I then cut them to sit inside the scrapbook paper leaving some room for the pretty paper to show around the white copy paper.

Next I attached the white paper with double sided tape to the scrapbook paper.
Punched a hole in the corner of each card.
Strung some ribbon and we were finished. Simple and dresses it up a bit to make it fun!

Hope it might help you too!

Happy Weekend!

Very creative I love it! I used to make themed folders for each subject! That was fun, then when it came time to study it was all right there and fun to look at!

wow! you make me feel so bad that I didn't do that with my kids! You are sooo creative! just an idea...if the ribbon starts to tear the corners you might use one of those metal clasp rings to hold the cards, I used them on our boring math flash cards.
