Ranch style homes I adore. Why is it that "most" (not all) of the new constructions leave out the charm that these homes ooze. I love driving through the neighborhood with all of the mature trees, and houses full of character. Here are a few homes that caught my eye.

Unique Hotel...

Recently my husband has been traveling to Austin Texas for business. I have always wanted to go and have yet to get to. I have heard how beautiful it is. Well, in hopes of traveling to Austin soon I was looking for places to stay when I came across this unique hotel, if that's what you want to call it, Saint Cecilia.   Check it out.

Attempting To Decoupage...

My first time to decoupage...

And this is how she turned out.

 I had this old computer desk and cut the legs down to a kid friendly height.

I lightly sanded the whole thing.

Primed.

Then spray painted in a white gloss finish.

Purchased a cute scrapbook paper and some Mod Podge.

Applied paper with Mod Podge.

I would have like it to be a bit less seamless, but for my first time... It's okay.

Now it will go into the kids room. 

Question...

I have been wearing Bare Minerals for about 6 years now, and this evening while watching TV saw an ad for liquid foundation. Which made me wonder...

Does anyone still wear liquid make-up? 

There are so many brands of mineral make-up these days. Do you have a fave?

Big Kid Beds...

The twins first night in big kid beds was successful. I am still waiting on bed frames, the mattresses came this week. So we went ahead and tested them out. Makes them look like such big kids.

A Decorators Oath...

Every once in a while you come across something that will keep you in line. And today while doing my daily blog reading Lavender and Lilies was helping to decorate a fellow bloggers apartment. In doing that she posted an oath I would like to share with you.

with items that I love and items that I can use for a long time. I will not buy
