I am happy to report I did get to sneak away for a bit of thrifting. Although I must have been practicing restraint, because I didn't buy a single thing. Not that I wasn't tempted, but
if I didn't really need it I thought I wasn't going to get it.
I did find a few pieces of milk glass, oh the torment.
But I left them all behind.
Really, I am not going for a collection, just a few perfect pieces.
On another note,
I sure love photo galleries and for me when I put up photos or art on the wall
I tend to like it from floor to ceiling. Seems like something
just isn't right if it doesn't fill the whole wall.
What's your take on floor to ceiling galleries?
Do you likie?
And my favorite image!

Oh I dream of a gallery like these examples! I always constrinate over which frames to get for which item and if they coordinate enough. Sometimes I love symmetry on a wall and sometimes I don't. I'm all over the place.
Where is your favorite place to buy art by the way? I am wanting an oversized canvas for our family room but don't know where to find one that I love that is that big (and affordable!)
I think all of the walls you have shown look really good! They are fun and add so much interest! I also know what you mean about not buying anything unless you totally love it. I'm very much like that these days. Not much shopping going on! I feel more like cleaning things out and putting things on Ebay!
I really like the look of the floor to ceiling gallery wall-as long as it's restricted to just one wall. A little restraint is always good. With your talent with photography you could put together a beautiful collection of family photos or maybe some nature photos.
I LOVE the floor to ceiling galleries. I have one going in my house :)
I think if you have the right space for it, it's fabulous! I had something similar on the wall of our spiral staircase at our old house.
Here I'm trying to find the right corner for it here, but there isn't that much wall space!
such great inspiration picts~ i am working on my photo wall right now~ i do like the floor to celing--very pretty!
I'm pretty much a fan of all galleries. : )
Those are some great inspiration pics. I am a big fan of gallery walls!
i love the second image with those fashion illustration frames...
BC, I tend to go to all of our local discount stores. I think that is why I like the groupings. You can fill a large space without having to spend a ton on a large print. =)
