I am curious, if you were going to buy a new sofa today,
What color would you buy?
And
What do you have now?
=)
I have chocolate brown, but sure swoon over a medium gray.
Can't wait to hear from you!

currently we have a white basketweave linen sofa. If I were to buy our sofa again today (now that we have two children on the way) I would buy the exact same color but in a machine washable denim fabric instead.
Right now, we have a taupe sofa which went perfectly in our previous house, but not so much in our new house. I am actually wanting a chocolate brown sofa next. Trying to work on a palette of brown, white, gold, and gray.
Love that last picture you posted!
I currently have a khaki colored sofa, and I always seem to play it safe so I hate to admit I would probably buy another in the same color. It seems to go with everything. I just change out the pillows and accessories when I want a new look. I do have to admit I am dying to purchase a white sofa. They look so clean and crisp! Of course, it would have to be a slipcover so future babies won't ruin it.
Hello! We have slipcovered sofa's in a creamy white. I love that I can easily clean up any messes that happen! I am thinking about having a new slip made for one of my sofa's in a ticking stripe.
I would love to have a cream colored sofa but right now (and I guess until Logan is a little older) we have an olive green color sofa.
Right now we have white.
Next time around, i would do charcoal grey.
Right now we have a dark khaki color. If we were kidless, I'd have white. Since we're not, I'd love grey.
I am pinching my pennies to someday be able to buy my dream charcoal grey sofa. For now I am living with 2 sofas: one chocolate brown leather and one light taupe microfiber.
I'm eagerly awaiting a new raspberry linen and white wood sofa I've ordered - it'll be the most retiring of my bunch of merrily patterned existing ones. I really like the grey and white French-style one in your images.
Currently in the family room we have dusty green, but in the formal living room we have chocolate brown...I like the idea of a dark grey couch!
fun! i have tan--and I think i would buy grey or light blue!
I have a green couch but maybe next will get a brown. For large furniture like that I like to get solid colors.
I would love a Ditte sofa from Anthro or a settee from Ballard Designs. It would be fun to have a huge, chunky leather sofa (like from RH) in the basement. So good with spills and such...this, of course, is a money-is-no-option dream list! Julie
For the past nine years I've had a traditional floral sofa with beige background, but would LOVE a solid cream color.
current - khakish taupe
next - charcoal grey
I would love a grey sofa (I've been on a grey kick recently)!
We currently have a khaki colored sofa with a subtle herringbone texture.
I have a floral sofa in the formal living room and a leather one in the den...but would LOVE to have a white one here in my NC home. Been lookin at ideas for the day we buy our beach house, hey! a girl can dream!
I would say robins egg blue...but, that's just today!!! Tomorrow I think lime green. I'm loving your blog music.
I would probably get something in a neutral...probably would lean towards a tan. I change my color schemes WAY too much to justify getting a trendy color. Right now I have a burgandy, leather couch...10 years old..but VERY comfortable.
Right now we have a very dark green couch. Sometimes I wish we had a deep, dark purple couch, or tan. :)
Definitely gray! It's my favorite neutral.
We currently have hideous "Arizona" patterned couches...covered by oatmeal colored stretch suede slipcovers from Walmart.com :)
You in the market for a new couch??
I have a chocolate brown, but so covet that smokey gray! Just dreaming. =)
Right now I have a red damask comfy sofa. If I were going to buy one now, I think I'd like charcoal gray, more modern, and still comfy. By the way LOVE the last pic on this post. The tile is original & I think I want it.
We have a sage green microfiber couch right now - but I'd live a big white slipcovered sectional. (I think - subject to change).
I would buy the one in the 4th photo.
We currently have a taupe fluffy sofa. 11 years old. Not the prettiest, but thankfully it's fairly neutral. It kind of disappears with the right distractions around it.
But I want one with legs, raised a bit off the floor.
Well, we have a very light taupe sofa in our living room and a chocolate brown sofa in our sitting room - I like both, but they both have their issues (the lighter one shows stains quickly, the dark one shows up the dog's blonde fur!). I think if you don't have light colored animals that shed a ridiculous amount, chocolate brown is the way to go!
i have chocolate brown now, and would probably get either a slate grey, or a chocolate/grey mix. can't wait until it's time for me to pick out a new one . . .
