You know how it is when you are obsessed with design. You can get a pile of magazines
going pretty fast. A friend of mine came into Cosmetology school (almost 12 years ago) with this huge file of photos she was saving for her someday home. I thought this was
a brilliant idea. And since I can't live hoarder style with magazines laying everywhere
I decided to start my own little file.
I love pulling this binder out and looking through photo after photo that
I love.
And it's nice to see how my style has either changed or stayed the same.
Which will really come in handy when we find our forever home.
How do you deal with your magazine obsession?

You should see the inspiration file I made about ten years ago. I found it recently and found it hilarious! I threw it away...maybe it's time to start a new one.
Hi Jesse! I do the same exact thing as you! It's so nice to only see what inspires you!
that second picture of a white kitchen was in my file, too. Good idea!
What a great idea! I love the notebook you chose to store them all in too!
that is a great idea~ love all of your inspirations--of course!
Sadly, I am a magazine hoarder! I have a MASSIVE pile of Metropolitan Living magazines stacked under a lamp in our Guest Room/Office, and our coffee table is brimming with Elle Decor, body & soul, Martha Stewart Living, and House Beautiful
hmm I think I have a problem...
That notebook you found is great! And I have been meaning to do the same thing for a while now -- hopefully your post will be just the motivation I need!
I keep saying I'm going to do this and I haven't done it yet. I need to get busy.
I do the same thing. I have sections for everything related to our home-samples of paint, fabric, etc...I usually weed it out a couple times a year and take out pics I know longer like/want. You're right, your taste does change over the years.
Oh man, this has always been on my to-do list and it has never happened. You may have just given me that extra boot I needed to get going! I just have all my mag pictures laying in a boring manilla folder!
Such a great idea. I have so many mags that I save that they are overflowing our guest room. Funny you have these binders I have four of them although mine are used for all of the hubs medical stuff...
Excellent question. I have currently worked halfway through my stash, writing down the names of designers and rooms I liked. I have since been searching them out on the Internet and posting those rooms once a week on my blog - basically a slow conversion from print to digital.
I have something similar, but I have lots of stuff to add to it! I call it my inspiration binder :-)
that is too funny--i have the same binder holding my magazine tears!
