Well Shoot...

I had tried to make a mood board with some new software and apparently it isn't working out for me. Darn.
Thanks for letting me know though, yesterday. So today I'm trying again to show you a few pieces that would make up one cute room.

Like this poster bed from Ikea. I would imagine B. would feel like such a big girl with this grand bed.
How cute would these be at the foot of her bed?
I love the thought of these West Elm side tables,
with this sweet mirror above,

And this spunky lamp to bring in some color!

And in true girly form, Blair is a totally pink girl! She loves anything and everything pink.
So I'm thinking some pillows like this would be such a fun touch in her room.

And to adorn the windows here is my choice. White with a clean pink stripe, just enough color. =)

While for now this room is only imaginary, it doesn't stop me from enjoying collecting images and inspiration for when we are able to make her, her very own girly room.

And hopefully today all of these images show up. ;)
Thanks again for the heads up yesterday.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday!

More Girly Goodness...

I think it's easy to go crazy thinking of ideas for Blair a pretty room. Right now she shares with her twin brother and doesn't seem to mind too much. Of course she doesn't know life any other way.
I really look forward to helping her create her little oasis someday.
If we were doing it today I would be totally inclined to choose this little arrangement.

My house is a total wreck! Thankfully I have three little helpers.
Hey Jude, could you do the laundry when you finish the vacuuming?
Kidding...

Jury Duty and Art...

Well I am finished with jury duty. Thankfully the only case I was drawn for was a case they didn't want me for. It was a child molestation case. eek! I am sure they thought I would be sympathetic for the 6 year old child in the case. And they were right! When you hear that yucky word "molestation" your heart kind of sinks and my thoughts went directly to the child. Just a natural inclination, you know! So I am now finished and have life as I know it back. Yay!

In other news I have been wanting to make a few things for the kids wall in their room. Here is our first girly project. The boys art is in the works. Blair was just tickled to death with this. So if I can get together the other things for her, her little area will be complete. I hate to say, but lately my motivation comes and goes.

Hope you are all having a great day!
Hugs!

Chair Crazy...

I have mentioned in the past I am wanting some chairs for our living room. But I have hesitated to get anything because I really wanted to make sure of what style I really liked. I keep coming back to this.

Do you remember the ones I like from Ikea? Same style. =)
The more I look at other styles comparing them, the more I think these would be perfect.
And would you believe I found a deal on some chairs very similar to
the one shown above. I don't love the fabric one them, but they are such a deal that I could
totally have them recovered. I haven't purchased them yet, still sleeping on it I guess.

What do you think of this style? I love the fabric on the above Room and Board chair.
And I love the low back. They will be sitting in front of a window and I wouldn't want to block the
view.

One last thing, say a prayer for me this week. I have jury duty. It will be my first time to serve and I am a bit nervous. Not to mention that I am not used to being away from my kids all day every day.
It's going to be a long week. But I have scheduled some posts and will be checking in.

Hope you all have a great week!

Dreaming...

Do you remember this mirror from the antique shop?
Well, I just can't get it out of my head, and think
it would looks soooo good hanging over,
this West Elm parsons table. *sigh*
If only I had somewhere to put such a gorgeous combo.
Here are a few more reasons to love the parsons desk, as if you need any. =)

Practice makes perfect...

Or at least maybe someday really good!
Here is a little peek at some of my photos of the kids lately.
I am trying my best to remember the things I learned at the photography class.

This one makes me laugh, because it looks like he is in an advertisement.
 Oops. =)
I was a bit sad this evening, we learned that Rhett's swim class teacher (who is absolutely fabulous)
is moving and this was his last lesson with her. =(
I will miss her so much, but I wish her the best of luck!
 He is SO ornery...

 But loves his mommy!
I love this one of Blair too! She looks so pretty with that blue/green behind her.

What's Your Style...

From the Right Bank hosted a photo challenge a year ago in which you find a photo that
shows what best represents your style. It's called the "Find Your Style In One Picture" challenge.
Here is what I posted then...
Ally is opening it up again and I had been thinking lately that the new photos of my dining room sum up my style perfectly. And oddly enough I don't think my style has changed any.
Thanks for the opportunity to participate Ally. =)

Last Minute Decision...

This past weekend my hubby and I were scheduled to have a date. My in-laws were watching the kids, so at the last minute we decided to take a drive to Austin (Tx). Just what my soul needed.
The views were to die for!

Last year while flipping through a Souther Living Mag I came across this photo. They described this place of looking like somewhere in the South of France, touting it's beautiful blue/green water and blanket of umbrellas. And it was in none other than Austin. I had all but forgotten about the photo when we decided to make the trip. Until we happened onto "The Oasis".
Remember my photography class. It's funny when I landed in such a beautiful place, how all of the rules I learned about telling a story and getting better angles went right out of the window. I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of our surroundings.
This was one of the views from our table, yes the water is that blue!

That's my hubby in the pink, and our table with an incredible view.

As soon as we decided to make the trip the first thing I thought of was this...
While it wasn't better than sitting by the lake basking the gorgeous views it was pretty darn good.
YUM!
What a refreshing trip!
Hope you each had a restful weekend too.

More Outdoor Inspiration...

A few more photos to inspire me and maybe you! I would love to be sitting out relaxing on the deck this weekend, but I think it is suppose to rainy. Darn.

I did find a deal on an outdoor sofa yesterday! Yip Yip! So if the rain rain will go away
I will move it to it's new home.
I hope y'all have a lovely weekend!

See you next week!

Back Yard Space...

It may seem strange to say, but out of the 6 years we have lived in our home this is the first year we are getting to use the back yard. If you don't know this story you can read it here. Having said that I am so loving every minute of having this space. And so covet Making It Lovely's back yard space!
Swoon!
{via making it lovely}

So I am hoping to recreate it, along with a sitting area.
Doesn't it look inviting!
Here are the chairs and a table via Ikea.
